    Well, ideally, shouldn't the leaders of a country be the first ones to come up with all the ways that that country can be harmed? If they aren't, isn't that kinda like a software company without a QA department?

    I heard him say this, and thought immediately "Wow, that's uncharacteristically insightful of Bush."

    Right after that, "Ya know, a billion bloggers are gonna flame him for that." (It has come as a bit of a surprise to me - though I suppose it really shouldn't - that the news media has jumped on it so vehemently.)

    Right after that, "Come to think of it, the bloggers've got a point. He probably didn't get it."

    In a slightly more humorous world, the line would have been, "They never stop trying to harm our people. And neither do we."
