Web of the Day

23rd March 2004, the wee hours | Comments (18)

Dunstan
Hey, Dad, on Sunday I was Feedster’sFeed of the Day’. That’s nice isn’t it?
Dad
What’s Feedster?
Dunstan
(Reading from feedster.com) Feedster is to blogs what Google is to Web sites, says the Wall Street Journal.
Dad
Oh. Well, well done.
Walks off to find Mum…
Morag, Dunstan is the ‘Web of the Day’ on the ‘Google of the Internet’, apparently.
Mum
Oooooh!

Thank you Betsy Devine, and everyone else at Feedster.

Well, the secret criterion for Feed of the Day is that readers, when they click through, will say, "Wow, look at that!" Er, meaning that in a good way, so that means you. And in other news, Dunstan, never forget, you can't trample infidels when you're a tortoise.

Congratulations Dunstan. And I get the same thing from my mother, she re-named the bloggies 'the thingies'.

Congratulations on yet another fine accolade. It's always sweet how parents embarrass themselves like that.

As an aside, I was reading Dunstan's site waaay before he become popular. ;)

Very funny!... and very reminiscent of my parents. They ask the questions b/c they care, but caring and actually "getting it" sometimes don't mesh.

    Funny! :)

Congratulations on your success! The first time I saw this weblog, Dunstan had some of his nice photo-montages. That was last year. :)

I wish I was in the club. Sergio - http://www.overcaffeinated.net - seems to be in it too.

Definitely, definitely... I remember trying to explain my Zen Garden entry to *my* mum... "Hey, Chris was accepted into some Japanese website thing."

I'm sure that people visiting over the last few days to be greeted by an insight into Dunstan's underwear said just that. ;)

    Matt. :)

    Haha! Some great comments there.

    Well done dunstan. It's really funny becuase I was just looking for info on RSS feeds, came across feedster, thought to my self;

"I wonder if some of the blogs I visit on are here"

Typed in 'Dunstan', and came up with this post.

I got a bit confused for about two seconds as to how you managed to be writting about feedster, at the same time that I was visiting feedster for the first time.

    Cool news!

I have no doubt that this is a result of the large number of people searching the blogspace for "back-to-front underpants". Congrats, Dunstan.

Oh, suuuuuure... As soon as I go and get it, *everyone*'s doing it. Yeah. Bah. Thunder stealer. And... stuff. Yeah!

    Congrats Dunstan. You're teh awezoms!

Incidentally - The underwear study? Fascinating. I kept reloading your site every five minutes or so to see what the outcome would be (yes, that was me in the stats, saying "hi") =)
